Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use ManiacAudioSounds (maniacaudiosounds.com), a sample library run by Maniac Audio. By creating an account or starting a plan you agree to them, to the Sound Licence, to the Refund Policy and to our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Your account

You need an account to download sounds. You must be at least 16 years old.
Keep your password safe. One account is for one person: do not share it.
You can close your account at any time by writing to support@maniacaudiovst.com.

Getting sounds

You can preview every sound for free. A sound you download is added to My Sounds, and you can download it again at any time, for free.
Every account can download 10 new sounds a day for free. The count starts again at midnight (site time). We may change this number.
For more sounds, a plan gives you credits every month. One credit downloads one new sound.
Every sound you download is covered by the Sound Licence.

Plans, credits and payment

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. You pay Lemon Squeezy, which also handles VAT and invoices, and its buyer terms apply to the payment. Prices include VAT where it applies.
A plan renews automatically every month and is charged to your payment method until you cancel.
Credits are added with each monthly payment. Unused credits roll over to the next month while your plan is active. When your plan ends, any credits left are cleared.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account and cannot be exchanged for money.
If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you by email before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Account > Manage Subscription, or from the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt. No need to contact us.
Your plan keeps running until the end of the month you paid for, and you can use your credits until then. After that no more payments are taken.
Every sound you downloaded stays yours and stays in My Sounds.
Payments are not refunded, including for the rest of the month after you cancel. See our Refund Policy.

Instant access and refunds

Sounds are digital content delivered straight away. When you start a plan, you ask for immediate access to the library and your credits, and you accept that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal that EU consumer law otherwise gives you. Payments are final and are not refunded, except as the Refund Policy explains.

Using the site fairly

Do not use bots, scripts or other automated ways to download or copy the library, do not try to get around the download limits or credits, and do not interfere with the site's security. If an account breaks these terms or the Sound Licence, we may suspend or close it. If we close an account for no fault of yours, sounds you downloaded stay licensed to you.

The library

We add new sounds regularly and may change or remove sounds from the library. A sound you already downloaded stays yours and stays licensed, even if it is removed.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the site running and the sounds working, but we cannot promise the site will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, Maniac Audio is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will email account holders before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan before the change applies.
