Sound Licence

Every sound on ManiacAudioSounds (maniacaudiosounds.com) is made by Maniac Audio. When you download a sound with your account, Maniac Audio gives you this licence to use it. It is the same whether the sound was free or paid for with a credit.

What you can do

You get a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use the sounds you download as part of your own music and audio productions, including:

  • songs, beats, remixes and albums, released for free or sold, on any platform (streaming, downloads, vinyl, CD);
  • music for films, TV, adverts, games, podcasts, videos and live performances;
  • work for clients, such as production, mixing or composing for others.

You can cut, loop, pitch, stretch, layer and process the sounds any way you like. You never pay royalties or fees to Maniac Audio for these uses, and you do not have to credit us (a mention is always welcome).

What you cannot do

  • Sell, give away, share or upload the sounds on their own, or in a form where they can be taken out and used again as samples: for example in sample packs, loop kits, construction kits, drum kits, sound libraries, presets, virtual instruments or sample-based plugins, even if you changed them.
  • Use the sounds to train, test or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or put them in a dataset for that.
  • Register the sounds, or a track that is mostly the sounds left unchanged, with Content ID or any similar service that claims ownership of audio. You can register your own finished track, as long as the sounds are only a part of it.
  • Share your account or your downloads with other people. Each person needs their own account.

Ownership

Maniac Audio keeps the copyright in the sounds. You own the music you make with them. The licence cannot be passed on to someone else, except as part of your finished work (for example when your label or client uses your track).

How long it lasts

The licence for a sound you downloaded lasts for ever. It stays yours if you cancel your plan, if you close your account, or if we later remove the sound from the library. Music you released before stays licensed.

If you break this licence, it ends for the sounds concerned and you must stop using them in new work.
